Today is Steve's birthday... yay.

Yesterday was awesome/interesting/unexpected/etc. Cheryl and Gary came over for a work day! They arrived bearing many tools which I cannot name except the obvisious, Ladders. They set a huge pot of mums on my porch, its just gorgeous. A wreath that is fall colors and festive looking on the door. And then the transformation began.
They spent a lot of money, we spent a lot of money. In the end 5 new ceiling fans twirling beneathe their gorgeous light kits, verticals swung happily in the living room and dining room windows, mini blinds stood stotically in the all the bedrooms, handicap rails were secured to the garden tub, a new toilet seat adorned my bathroom, as well as new tiolet cleaning systems in the tanks, and new guts in one tank. The bi-fold laundry room door is about to be put up, the last of the broken or cracked windows is about to be installed and my porch railing shall once again be in the place that it was made to go. The house was vaccummed, the back door was fixed with a strip of rubber to keep out the heat / bugs etc. Kitchen curtains now hang in that window, all new lighting fixtures are in the kitchen and hallway. Gone are those cheap shit, in are beautiful swirled frosted glass elegance. What can a woman say? Wow! I wish Steve was as handy and motivated as Gary.
Now bright and chipper this morning Gary is here with a friend from Disney who is HVAC certified, figuring out the problem with the A/c. He seems like a nice guy.
Things left to do on the house include pressure washing the house, painting the porch (front and back) evenutally rebuilding back porch but thata project for when there is actually money and supplies in abundance. Finding the right type of curtain/swag for the doorway to separate the master bath from the bedroom. Finding /figuring out storage space. Getting the dryer part, the tiling in the masterbath (again when supplies and money become abundant). Then we have the yard and gardening to concentrate on.
I love when things come together. So much work was done, so much relief on me for it. And Good news! My A/C is not bad, it just needs a little TLC. TLC I can do.
Did I mention that I fractured the bottom spot on my back? No? oh well that does explain the handicap rails on the tub now doesn't it!
