Lovely day Today I took Joshua out to breakfast at Golden Coral. We ran into a guy I took a class with about a year ago or so. He was there with two other guys , all of them dressed to the nines in biker terms. They had all rode their Harleys there , had on their harley leather vests and do rags etc. Well, Joshua was in shock when they stopped by our table to say hi to his mother! hehe. I think my children believe I have no life outside of being their mother most the time and certainly I do not know anyone that they haven't met. I enjoyed this revelation for Joshua. Then I took Joshua to the Museum of Art, downtown. On Saturdays it is free admisson. We walked around and looked at really old artifacts. Most were dated between 300 A.D and 900 A.D. This was most enjoyable. Then we went to the library. I checked out the following four books : "People of the Mist", "People of the Mask", "People of the Owl" and "This Widowed Land". All written by Kathleen O'Neal Gear and W.Michael Gear. I love their books. They write about prehistoric North America. After this we came home. I only took Joshua because I rarely get one on one time with him. One would think that afterall he is the only boy and the baby of the family, that he would be spoiled. Quite to the contary, the girls suck the life out of me most the time. They always have some drama going on.So even if he didnt need time together, I did. And we had a lovely time. After we got home, I sat outside in a lawn chair and began reading one of the books. It was a perfect 80 degree day outside. Just wonderful for sitting a while and reading. I was enjoying this peace when Jen arrived. She came and took me to her place. Just the two of us, we left all the kids, hers and mine here. We talked, we did Quija board, and I read tarot cards for her. It was most enjoyable. Tomorrow I am going to Bingo with her and Joy. I hope I win! |
